1998 : Studies Tempera painting techniques, and find new inspiration in travels
2000 /06 : Experiences modeling for photographers Irina Ionesco and Serge Streibel
2000 : Starts painting on the theme of Flamenco dancing and Andalusian women
My painting expresses an oneiric and intimist universe in a figurative style expressionnist, inspired by different cultures, and mysterious and colorfull atmospheres brought to me through my travels, and which fascinate me : portraits of women, still lives and other expressions from Symbolist themes.
Andalusia is my inspiration, as well as Andalusian women belonging to the present or to the past, crossroads between Eastern mystery and the Mediterranean. Moments of dream, daydeams, steady meditations of these watchwomen, portraits and even self-portraits, wide opened eyes observing and reflecting my own emotions…
My other favorite topics in painting are flowers, forests, Egyptian women, Venice and the carnival. My last paintings find their inspiration in Asia, more particularly in China, in a timeless and poetic vision.
